Sorry for my absence I was pretty busy lately with my studies I present today
the Church Saint Medard
This church was built at the site of a chapel Merovingian.
the belfry and the northern part of the nave date from the sixteenth century





























The church Saint Medard is located in downtown Brunoy Monmartel in the street, behind the main road that connects 54 Valley Yerres to the National Road 6.
The church was built on the ruins of a Merovingian chapel. The oldest part, south of the nave was built in the twelfth century. It was followed by the construction of the choir with a ribbed vault in the thirteenth century.
the sixteenth century the nave was rebuilt and added the tower whose foundation stone was laid in 1539.
the eighteenth century, John of Paris Monmartel worked to decorate the church with the installation of painted panels, sculpture of golden garlands, painted panels on the theme of the Litany of the Virgin and tables directed by Jean-Bernard Restout among others. His son added an organ was enlarged and the tower, equipped with eight bells, which was assigned a load of bell-ringer.
